2025/2026 - Pellores

This was a film by Saskia Bowen that I worked on in my final year of university. 'Pellores' is about a young queer couple whose growing interest in Witchcraft leads them deep into the countryside, where they discover a coven of 17th century witches who have lived in secrecy for 400 years. Their arrival marks the coven's first real contact with the outside world in centuries, and tensions quickly emerge - particularly with the coven's leader, who was once persecuted for loving another women. As the characters begin working together, on a ritual, witchcraft becomes the bridge that unites them, and they learn to be at peace with themselves and become better people.

When it came to designing the Witches' costumes, I tried to keep as much historical accuracy as I could, whilst still creating something fantastical. I also tried to use as many historical techniques as I could when it came to making these costumes, but due to time constraints I had to be realistic about what I could do
